AGILE INVOLUTIONS

Exploring the collective body of work Frei Otto the studio took a methodological approach to the formal logic of tensile structures. Taking typological research as a starting point, the second half of the studio focused on the design for an integrated photovoltaic tensile system and bus terminal in Zacatecas, Mexico.

The design strategy proposes an L configuration of stacked platforms above the terminal that provides market spaces on the upper deck and bus circulation on the lower level.
