Embedded Theater

Built within the existing footprint of an empty warehouse structure, the new addition is composed of two interlocking parts, a large theater space and a smaller performance room.  The existing structure suggests different readings of program and the design adapts to these various possible configurations.  The roof structure is projected onto the ground plane providing a framework for circulation.  Stairs and ramps draw passage between the main entrances while floor plates provide terraces for gathering and observation.
